3.Halloween - Best Slasher ever. Myers RULES!Plus it captures what it feels like during Halloween up north perfectly(even though they filmed it in Cali)

4.Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - insane! great acting and direction

6.Nightmare Before Christmas - visual masterpiece

20.Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003 -this should be the blueprint for modern slasher/horror

21.Childs Play - scared the hell outta me as a kid and ill never forget it

22.Half Baked-probably laughed the most at this movie than any other.

23.Mothman Prophecies- Just plain creepy and serious..just how I like em.

24.28 days Later- IMagine it happening to YOU!

25.Old School-Probably the best comedy since Half Baked and Office Space.

Being the lazy man I am, I'll just copy and paste what I put down in the same thread on RFB.

1: Pink Floyd The Wall
All I can say about this movie is that it changed my life around. I saw myself in Pink's shoes and foresaw my own self-destruction. Helped me change my life around in a whole new direction.

2: Terminator 2
Just one of the best movies I've ever seen. Has the greatest movie villain to ever hit the screen, in my opinion. One of the few movies to make me shed some tears at the end.

3: Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Just fond childhood memories of watching this movie over and over. And to this day it still makes me laugh.

4: The Lord of the Rings
All three, in a row, is just one of teh greatest thing in movie history.

5: Little Shop of Horrors
Again, more childhood memories. I had it memorized in my head. Every word, every verse.

6: Godzilla 1954
Godzilla was my childhood icon. Just running around and wrecking shit. I shed tears when he died.

7: Halloween
One of the greatest horror movies ever made. Scared me to no ends.

8: Alien
Just like Halloween. The feeling of isolation in space while you and your crew are picked off one by one just gets to me for some reason.

9: Empire Strikes Back
Best Star Wars movie ever made. Perfect beginning. Perfect ending.

10: Man On Fire
Just so many things in this movie touched me. One of the few times I ever felt sorry for someone in a movie.

11: Psycho
I remember watching this with my parents when I was eight. When the killer was revealed, I had my first "Oh Shit" moment, which was followed by a slap in the back of my head.

12: Alien3
Just proves how you can make a good movie without a typical happy ending.

13: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
My first feeling of fear from a ovie came from Leatherface's hissy fit at the end.

14: Silence of the Lambs
Just the greatness of Hopkins as Hannibal gets this movie here.

15: The Exorcist
Honestly one of the funniest and most disturbing movies I've ever seen.

16: Donnie Darko
Another movie where I felt sorry for the character.

17: Se7en
Just an incredible movie. Just like Psycho.

18: Child's Play
Good ol' Chucky. Another childhood icon.

19: Red Dragon
The character of Dolerheid was just so unbelieveable.

20: Edward Scissorhands
Everytime I see it I find something new. Also A very funny movie.

21: Spaceballs
One of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

22: Silver Bullet
This movie scared the shit out of me as a kid. I was very religious as a child, and the fact that seeing a priest turn into a werewolf made me afraid to set foot in a church.

23: H20
A beautifully executed horror movie. Before Ressurection came out it had the perfect sense of closure.

24: Pirates of the Carribean
My favorite adventure movie. I never tire of it.

25: 28 Days Later
Shows the true nature of man and how playing God can seriously fuck your day up.

Ok, so I gave it a shot, and just took it from looking at my DVD collection. It's probably incomplete, and I know I missing something.

In no particular order:

25. Weird Science - Every adolecent male fantasy come to life. Probably the first 'adult themed' movie I ever watched. Of course, I only saw the hialrity in it, but as I got older, appreciated the other half of the jokes even more.

24. Superman 2 - Saw these movies before I fell in love with the legend of Superman, but never thought much of them. After my Superman obsession came to be, I became aware of the wonderment of these movies. Superman 2 especially. WHen this movie comes on, I am glued to the TV, and do NOT try to draw my attention away. (Lookig forward to the extended DVD).

23. Shawshank - Probably the first 'drama' movie I fell for. Growing up, I loved comedies & action movies, and that was pretty much it. After seeing for Shawshank for the first time, I didnt know what to think. I dont think I breathed until the next time I saw the movie. I just didnt expect to love it as much as I did.

22. Real Genius - Another classic from growing up. Probably didnt now why I lvoed it so much when I was younger. Like many others on this list, it's a movie I came to appreciate the humor and ridiculousness of it all.

21. Labyrinth - Without realizing it at the time, I fell in love for the first time when I watched the movie Labyrinth. Jennifer Connelly very well may have been the most beautiful creature I have ever seen in my life. I fell for her during the opening credits, and was taken on an adventure which blew my mind. Which STILL blows my mind to this day.

20. The Iron Giant - When this movie was released, I knew 2 things: I love cartoons, and I love Jennifer Aniston. When I went to see it in the theater, I was not expecting the movie I saw. This was probably the first animated movie that brought a tear to my eye. Not full blown crying, but I 'started' to well up.

19. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - The most recent movie on my list. I fell in love with the books probably around a year before the first movie hit. When the first two movies hit, they were EXACTLY how I pictured it while reading, and I loved it. POA on the other hand, was NOTHING how I pictured it, and I loved it even more. I have seen it 3 times in the theaters. I havent gone more simply from willpower. I want to. BAD. When I convince myself I dont, I see a commercial, and I fall off the wagon. I NEED to see this movie again. I fear for the DVD release, becuase I will probably disappear form normal society for a good month.

18. The Goonies - I dont even remember the first time I watched the Goonies, I feel like I have simply been watching it my entire life. The atmosphere, the weather, the characters, all just make me feel comfortable. I cant decribe the feeling I get when I watch this movie, other than "Sheer Joy".

17. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - Never read the books. Dont care if I ever do. These movies are simply unreal. I wont say more.

16. Gladiator - I remember seeing the first preview for this movie during the SuperBowl, and telling my family that it was going to be unbelievable. And I was right. Before Gladiator, I never watched a movie at a theater more than once. It was the first movie that got me BACK to the theater. And not just once. I went back twice.

15. Ghostbusters - My first extremely memorable cast of characters. Each briliant in their own way. The movie was a fantastic belnd of fantasy, comedy, and happiness. Both movies probably have the happiest endings of any two movies I can think of.

14. The Fugitive - No matter what time of day, what time of the year, what type of weather, or what type of mood I'm in, if I flip by The Fugitive, I cannot and WILL not turn it off. It's impossible for me to do so.

13. X-men/X2 - The moment I came to the end of the first X-comic I ever read was the moment I started thinking about an X-Movie, and who would be in the cast. The first movie I followed through the internet from the studio's green light until opening day. Was blown away by how they brought my beloved characters to life, and how they brought out the message of what the XMen have always been about, which so many non-comic readers simply did NOT understand.

12. The Fifth Element - Another one I cant remember seeing in theaters, but after watching it on TV, I had to have it. It never stops being entertaining for me. After the millionth viewing, the adventure, humor, and happy feeling of it all is still there.

11. Edward Scissorhands - One of the most amazingly different fairy tales I have ever seen. Such a dark, scary, evil looking character portraying on of the most wonderful fairytale love stories I've experienced.

10. Die Hard With a Vengeance - Saw the first, but i was younger, and never fully appreciated it. I heard the 2nd was a flop, and never actually sat through the whole thing. So when they played the trailer for the third, and I was excited, I knew I was in for something special. Everytime I watch it takes me on a rollercoaster ride that I never get tired of.

9. Cable Guy - It absolutely blew my mind when I went to see this movie, loved it, and then proceeded to hear about how much everyone else hated it. To me, it was a fantastic twisted dark comedy that still entertains me every tiem i watch it.

8. The Breakfast Club - Another classic from growing up. No idea the first time I saw it, or whether it was in the theater or on TV. All I knew was that when it came on, I had to watch, just because. It was a part of me. It was a necessity of life to watch this movie whenever I saw it on.

7. Better Off Dead - Another necessity of growing up. A John Cusack classic. A comedy classic. A dark comedy classic. An 80's classic. A CLASSIC classic.

6. Beetlejuice - A fun, fantastic, twisted movie all around. Michael Keaton is brilliant. To this day whe I see the movie, I can't see Michael Keaton under the makeup.

5. The 13th Warrior - I guess this is my sleeper hit. When I first saw it, I loved t, and couldnt understand why there wasnt a big uproar about how awesome this movie was. Thoroughly enetertained everytime I watch it.

4. Back to the Future 1&2 - A fantastic se tof movie which deals with one of my favorite subjects: Time travel and it's consequences. I would sign any petition for a Doc Brown Movie Maniac fig.

3. A Life Less Ordinary - I unfortunately missed the theater release of this movie. I actually had no idea it was ever made, until one afternoon I was flippign through the channels, and came across it. Looked intriguing, so I watched. The minute the credits started to roll, I turned off the DVD, got into my car, went and bought the DVD, and I watched it again. A bizarre, twisted fairy tale of fate and love.

And the Top 2 (in particluar order):

2. The Never Ending Story - Before the LotR movie's were made, this was my LotR. This was my epic. An adventure that I could have never imagined, yet seemed so real, and drew me into the story like no movie had ever done. To this day I am mesmerized watching this story.

1. The Princess Bride - A fantastic fairy tale, and beautiful love story, a hilarious comedy, and Andre the Giant. The recipe for my favorite movie of all time. Period.
